Adding 3rd FOB

I know manual says to go to the dealer etc. as it does on all cars.
But I’m hoping someone might have some info on programing another FOB to the mustang.
I have been able to add a 3rd FOB to a friend’s 2016 Edge and the Wife’s 2017 Escape all keyless entry and push button start. But for some reason none of the programing sequences work on the mustang. Anyone have any info or been able to successfully add a FOB without having to have the dealer do the programing.

The manual gives explicit instructions on how to reprogram a FOB. The only thing I found is where it says "press" the start button, you have to hold it down for a few seconds. But reprogramming it was very easy. Just need two already programmed keys to program a third. Also, you might need to do it all fairly quickly, i think i took about 20 seconds for the whole process, maybe less.
