trust me, I have it on iPhone and macOS, its AMAZING. every once in awhile you'll go to a site that won't load properly, you just hold the reload arrow beside the Internet address beside the URL and it'll have an option reload without Adblock.
I paid for both, its like 2.99 on iPhone and macOS, worth its weight in gold . been using Wipr for like 5 years
its actually one of the few that still work on my M1 MacBook, I sold my year earlier MacBook and bought M1, and a lot of people said their adblocks wasn't functional on m1, but Wipr still worked off the bat.

I don’t know how to whitelist stuff, none of my routine places have an issue. It’s when I’m sometimes browsing new sites or aome new sources that sometimes things won’t load. But those websites are blasted with ads.
I do know you can whitelist things. But in its stock form, it’s like once a month on a random page I reload without ad block
