Does anyone know if the adaptive cruise control option does away with the fangs on the secondary grille? If so can't I just go to the dealership and buy regular gt secondary grille and swap it?

It's all still unclear to me. My base GT will not have the lower fang grill and the reason I have found is because it has a block heater; although I have seen members on here in Florida with the rectangular lower grill as well.

Everyone swears it's just for the ACC but obviously my base car doesn't have ACC.

ACC definitely gets you the fangless lower grille. I've confirmed this on several cars including my own. I'm actually hoping to swap my upper grille for the 50th AP version to achieve a nicer match.

You wouldn't be able to as you'd need the blanking plates for the radar to work which the normal grille doesn't have.

Hmm I wonder if anyone is going to be able to come up with an aftermarket solution to this..the fangless grille doesn't necessarily look bad to me but still doesn't look as good as the standard grille

dammit. I wanted the full fangs. I think the lower grille completes the visual aspect of the entire grille. there has to be a way to relocate the plates so that the fangs will work.

im wondering why they just cant be relocated. im also wondering why Ford didn't openly inform us that there were varying lower grilles depending upon specific options with your chosen packages. I can understand different body styles for the 3 trim options, but I think I would have opted out of the ACC if I knew I was going to have to lose my lower grille. yeah it was that important to me. Im supposed to get my car this week and I realized the different grilles last week...today I figured out why. im upset at myself too.

Don't be upset it took me 3 trips to the dealership to look at a car up there that they had to realize that it didn't have the lower fangs I was looking at the front and thought to myself wait a minute it doesn't have fangs however it doesn't look bad at all honestly without the bottom fangs to me it gives it a cleaner look

im sure I will love her just as well. thank you for telling me that. I don't feel to much like an idiot anymore. I cant believe it took me this long to notice. from what Ive read about ACC it may be worth it. but im still hoping the aftermarket community comes up with something.

I got the ACC and I love it. If you do any amount of highway diving it is definitely worth it.
