I know there are many topics on the AC that are well documented, however I couldn't find anything quiet like what I am experiencing. A little history, AC blew hot air, Ford refilled the system and put in dye. AC blew hot air again (TSB is out at this time) and replaces the evap core. When it started acting up that time it also had a "wirrrrrrr" sound in the cabin that increases with RPM. Currently the AC is working great however the "wirrrrrrrr" sound remains. This sound only occurs when the compressor is operating. You can turn the AC off in the middle of the cycle and it stops immediately. Anyone else experience this? I'm thinking the compressor took some internal damage when it ran empty those two times. I know there is oil in the fluid....low refrigerant equals low oil? This something normal? None of my other mustangs did this...my 2014 F-150 doesn't do this.
