OK, this is a very weird one that's just developed. I just got done with a road trip covering about 500mi one way. On the return journey, I noticed that the AC started blowing harder if the motor was under boost, and it blew harder as it went further into positive boost pressure. Literally acted like the AC was hooked up to the turbo too.
It's a neat party trick I suppose, but has anyone else experienced this? I'm about 11k miles in on my 2016 Ecoboost Premium w/PP. I actually found that even if I turn off the AC completely the blower motor reacts the same way.
I haven't changed anything on the car since adding airaid intake tube, mishimoto catback, ETS intercooler and Cobb tuner running a 93oct Tune+ tune which was dialed in a while ago. I didn't notice any issue with the engine, its stats or performance and I checked that all charge and intake piping is intact and still snug. I stopped a few times during this trip for gas and rest and this behavior persisted so it's not a "turn it off and on again" kind of thing.
I'm pretty stumped on this one. Anyone seen anything like this?
Edit: nevermind, after letting it cool overnight and driving today it's definitely a boost leak. Everything still seems to be snug so I'm guessing one of the silicone sleeves split or otherwise failed. New charge pipe time.
