AC hissing noise

I have a 2016 Mustang GT, and for the past couple months every time I turn the defroster on, or the ac on, there’s a noticeable hissing noise from what seems to be behind the dash, and I’ve been trying to figure out what it is. Could it be the evaporator core, or something else to cause that noise, and also it doesn’t blow out cool air when it is turned on either

Also every time I recharge the system up, it only works for a little while and then goes right back to blowing warm air

Yep known issue with the AC/evap on the 2015-2017 cars. If you can do the replacement yourself you’ll save some money. It’s pricey due to the labor involved. There’s a few threads on it here.
