No no it's how people react when something goes wrong they go way overboard. One thing goes wrong now whole car a piece of junk like there whole life is coming to a end. Like there car is no longer perfect must get rid of it NOW. Then someone else reads this thread and goes I'm worried about my car now like it's going to do the same. Sad thing people are not perfect so why act like this?

My car hasn't depreciated nearly as much as I expected. I was offered 20,500 in trade, and that is with a broken bumper cover, broken valance, broken radiator support, and dent. I paid just over 21k before fees/taxes/reg so I'm suprised how much trade value is. He said in excellent condition he'd give me 23k. I don't really understand how or why but I wasn't about to argue haha.

I didn't like the interior of the civic at all, and wasn't impressed with driving it. Going to keep the Mustang, fix it up, get it covered under warranty for the AC on Wednesday, and throw some Mechanical Breakdown Insurance via Geico on it for $6/month (basically bumper to bumper for 100k miles) with $250/ded.
What the fuck?!? I am constantly quoted 20k flat on my 32k MSRP ecoboost, I paid around 32k OTD. Only thing is, despite the car being in perfect condition, there is a carfax accident report for a love tap that happened, but caused no damage (just a small scratch that came off after I rubbed it with a microfiber).

One Ford dealership didn't even run the carfax, but still offered 20k for it, not knowing about the accident.

I love the car, but if I was getting close to what I paid for it, I'd probably trade it in, just makes financial sense from my point of view. I just got a job at BMW, so those employee lease deals look very enticing ;) . But, if I had to do it over again, I'd probably buy it slightly used with under 20k miles and save a shit ton of money versus a new one.

EDIT: Is it possible that the A/C issue is related to the broken radiator support or the whole bumper fiasco?

Haha nope. Just pulled the clip off the bumper from catching the cement block of the parking space (which was a raised broken cement block) so its not connected at the side hanging down an inch or two. Going 2mph in reverse haha so it put a chip in the valance, tore the clip off the bumper (too thin to repair) and the bottom screw hole that connects to the radiator support to the bumper tore so needs to be replaced over a damaged screw hole. It's such minor damage but still going to cost $1200. At first look everyone was like oh you just need a clip and further inspection shows the other minor damage but needing replacement. One of my buddies just said to glue it (he repairs/retrofits commercial airplanes haha) but it's a 16 mustang so I'd want it fixed right as its basically a new car still.

whats funny is, on 2 long work trips I had 2015 v6 mustangs, both for about 3-4 weeks.....I killed the AC compressors in both of them, within 2 weeks....it was mid summer in NM....so it was hot...and I would sit in the car on my lunch break with AC on....ive done this a lot with various rentals (because I could care less about heat soaking them lol) one of them, the compressor failed, and the other one seemed like one of the mix doors for the temp control failed. not really sure.

only issue ive had with my car was the stupid dual mass flywheel breaking....though ill admit my car is modded, and I don't drive it like a prius....

Still in the shop as the dealership changed out the compressor but said it still has a blockage or something and they are trying to figure it out. They got me a rental which was cool.

Has anyone noticed that when the A/C compressor kicks on, it robs A LOT of power from the engine? Or is it just mine? I swear it sucks like 50 HP out of it... REALLY noticeable. Much more than even teeny 4 bangers I've had.

I use dashcommand which displays hp/torque in real time and I never noticed that but I'll have to compare WOT when I pick it up with and without AC.

WOT the compressor is turned off by the computer. Set yourself in cruise control at, say, 70, then turn on A/C - I feel the car sort of get bogged compared to before... for example. Maybe mine will break soon and the new one won't cause this, hehehehe.

Cool I'll set the cruise and turn it on and see how much the hp drops. Lmfao @ your final sentence haha.

I have a v6 so not sure if that makes a difference on AC HP loss

Haha oh god no I hate hate hate the Fiesta lol. The Focus is much better! My dad loves the Fiesta but he's always owned similar cars like the old Festiva, Mazda 323 hatch etc.
