ac clicking noise normal?

Hi guys,

Over the last three weeks I've had my AC condenser and compressor replaced and everything charged up to spec.

I notice there's a pretty loud clicking sound when the compressor engages or stops...is this a normal function? It happens maybe every 5-10 seconds. I honestly can't remember what it sounded like before the system crapped the bed.

Yea there usually is a click from the compressor clutch engaging.

Just seems very noticeable, moreso than on other vehicles I drive regularly.

Can you locate where is it coming from?
When your compressor crapped out I bet it wasn't even engaging because the AC clutch won't engage unless the pressure is above certain level.

Initially the system was blowing hot air, they replaced the condenser and all was good except that there was a loud whine when the compressor was engaged. They replaced the compressor and no more whining and I have cold air. Now I just have this clicking.
