A6 NAV SD mapping error...

I was just informed that Ford acknowledges that all of the A6 NAV SD chips have a mapping error. Ford has decided to 'fix' the error on the next map set.

The problem is...the 2015 and 2016 NAV systems are incompatible! The Sync 3 NAV does not use an SD chip! So if you want a NAV mapping system that has the fixed problem...all you have to do is buy a NEW 2016 Mustang! YAY!!!

As per our private message discussion, our map provider (HERE) is aware of this issue and will be correcting it on their next map update for the MyFord Touch systems. SYNC 3 has separate map updates. The 'next map update' took 12 months the last time! A5->A6. The 2015 A6 didn't arrive until 4 months into 2015... And we are going to have to pay another $150 for each update!
How long will HERE/Nokia provide updates for a system that Ford has now officially rejected? News Flash: MIcrosoft bought Nokia and is essentially gutting the company.
