Was told today that 2018 A10 transmissions are on a recall because of bad clutches? I thought it was just the trucks that had the recall.

Ask for a copy of the actual notification or hyperlink to post here - without it, it’s just whisper down the line...

What did you “hear” about the clutches?

I’ve not heard of any 10R80 recalls for the S550; so far many of the TSB/SSM’s have been posted on the web for some of the Ford truck product line.

As for the S550, the only major (minor really) issue during the initial release of the 2018 was the problem with the unit possibly not staying in park and it only effected a handful with the optional digital gauge cluster and within a certain early build date range.

I called a local performance shop about FI solutions and the guy went on about having my transmission serviced with all the recalls first. I said that should only apply to the Ford truck line, not the Mustangs. They stated that it applied to the Mustangs too. I searched and never found anything pertaining to the Mustang.

Honestly, my first thought is that they were talking about something they weren't completely knowledgeable on. But I figured I would check in to see if anyone else has heard anything. I haven't seen a significant number of posts about transmission failures but I may have missed something.

I appreciate the feedback. :)
