A/T Power Limit?

Hey gang I'm new to the forum and LOVE the new Mustang. I'm thinking I'd like to get one for my next car. I think I can sell wifey on it if the car has an automatic transmission. I'd like to be able to keep up with my cousin's 2013 Shelby so I'd want to add a S/C or Turbo kit. Here's my question-is there a safe/reasonable amount of power that the automatic can/should be used with? Is that limit higher with the manual?

You went auto, no need to worry about the transmission.
It will take anything you can dish out at it.

They will live forever at 650rwhp and less, start adding more they slowly start to show wear and tear..

Billet shafts and clutches make them bullet proof.

Right!?! My thinking is some car I don't really want and get a manual or get a Mustang with an auto and she approves. Seems like a no-brainer.

Also, keep in mind today's autos are a far cry from the ones most people heard about growing up which were terrible compared to manuals.
