I'm just laughing at the thought of Tony taking that gorgeous Fathouse built monster into the local Indy Ford dealership and trying to get warranty work on the engine approved.

These fittings did not exist as stated above and look closely at this picture. TonyJ5150 stated that he welded two fittings together to get the fitting in the picture. So it was a custom item.
I ended up going with custom setup myself purchasing a derale unit and running the lines for my transmission cooler setup.

Thank you for the pics, that's a cool (pun intended) setup! Let me rephrase my question. The female socket that attaches to the Ford OEM cooler, the piece with that o-ring clip, is there a name for that? Or is this one Ford part the only socket of that type in the world? Never mind that he welded an AN fitting, as clever as that is, that isn't the feature I'm interested in.

Best I could find is this adapter, which might work but without buying one and testing I don't know for sure.

I had not seen that one myself but appears it would work. I had at one point purchased a bunch of adapters from amazon that were for power steering lines and if i remember right the 3/8 fit, BUT they none of the fittings had an an8 end and therefore I just went to custom setup myself.
