Hi Guys,

New to the forums here. I had a question about leasing a 2015 Mustang GT. I understand there are currently no leases for the GT version of the vehicle.

Historically, have GT Mustangs been available for lease through a Ford Dealership in past years? If so, is there any reasonable belief as to when that may occur for the 2015 GT?

I would prefer to lease, however would be willing to buy using the X-plan as I do have that available to me.

Thanks for any anticipated insight.

In talking to my dealer, they did not foresee that happening for the GT. I am leasing an Ecoboost however.

You can lease a Mustang GT, but Ford doesn't offer special rates. The standard rates for Ford leasing are so high that it doesn't make sense to lease a GT. Ford does offer special lease rates on the EcoBoost & V6 Mustangs, however.

On a side note, you can use the X-plan pricing with any form of purchase: cash, finance, and leasing.

Was told from my local Ford dealer new car manager the new 2015 gt will be supported by ford to lease. I'd guess the interest rate will be close to the challenger and camaro. I believe the challenger is 4.6% interest. Sorry to revive older thread

There are also third party companies that will acquire a lease through competing banks. I leased my GT500 through these guys
www.leasecompare.com and it ended up being through US Bank.

They don't have anything up on their site for the 2015 yet, I sent them an email the other day to inquire about it, hopefully they will post numbers soon.
I'm considering a lease now that I've seen the GT350, I can't imagine I will keep the GT/PP for very long once that is out. :-)
If I only plan on keeping the GT for a little over a year, I'm thinking a lease makes more sense.

I truly hope they do lease the 2015 5.0. I currently lease a 2012 and it's coming due at the end of February. I only lease vehicles, and if Ford doesn't offer it on the 5.0, I may be pushed into the 2015 SS.
