Other tuners use standard hardware (HP, SCT) so you can run any number of different tunes, should you desire...
So there’s the rub. Notice that Roush, Whipple, and livernois use “non standard” flash devices. These companies also not-coincidentally have worked with ford (some more than others) on the calibrations. Hpt, diablosport, and sct are hacking in without ford’s permission (or guidance). They don’t have all parameters defined and any ole Joe can sell tunes. I’ve seen some scary stuff being peddled as custom tunes and the typical customer is none the wiser.
