After the Mustang Memories meet in August, I'm going to return to Wisconsin up through Canada via the Lake Superior Great Circle route. How available will high octane fuel be?

Chevron almost always has 94.

Outside of that 91 is everywhere.

Yeah i hear 'ya, had to fill up with 91 coming from a car meet in the Ottawa-Gatineau region last week-end, and could feel a difference in power compare to the Petro Canada 94 gas i usually use in the car.

When I was in Toronto in March, I noticed ESSO had 93.. but I haven't seen it here in Ottawa. I used to have to go about 15 km to get the 94 at PC, but the local station (it wasn't a Sunoco before) upgraded their pumps and added 94.. sweet!

Mannnnn don't go telling me the car feels faster on 94 dammit :frusty: LOL

If it didn't cost a fortune I'd bring in race fuel at 110 octane and just mix with 91 to get a 93+ fuel. I'd literally drive an extra 40kms out of the way or more to get better gas if it were available :(

I was arguying with a retired chemist the other day about Petro Canada 94 gas being Ethanol free which he said wasn't true and that it actually was blended with 5% Ethanol, which i found odd since i've always been told it was Ethanol free!!! Go figure.

I think that's true, I believe there is a disclaimer for some fuels that up to X percentage of ethanol may be added dependent on the time of year. Memory is a little foggy so I can't recall exactly, but I think there may only be a couple suppliers (Shell for certain) that definitely never has ethanol.
