If you have 900 RWHP, you do not want to be driving in the rain period!

At best you would want Weld wheels and Mickey Thompson street ET R rear. Front with Weld wheels with Mickey Thompson sportsmen tire.

I can only get traction on the MT street R so far but that's on 305 45 17 with 17x10 drag pack setup. I want to try Street S/S in regular size like 305 35 19 for my street wheels because I've heard good things.

I got caught in the rain with street R last weekend and never again haha, it was scary af but in the dry they are wonderful.

What do you mean they perform well?

At 900 HP I have to doubt that they perform "well" being a non DR and a 285.

Nt555R on a 20x11 in 305/35/20 8n the rear. 20x10 on G2 275/30/20 up front. Does better than other DR's in rain. As long as they are warm you can have fun. If cold, forget about it; might as well be ice skates. But any street DR will react that way in 40° or less.

Why can't you drive in the rain with 900whp and street tires? It's no different than a stock car unless you hit the gas lol.

For what they’re I don’t have traction issues I don’t launch the car obviously lol but for daily driving and all weather/ 20 mph pull they don’t have a issues but it’s not fully boosted till 4000 4500 ish rpm so it’s not insta power as well more like a slow roll into it unlike a supercharger

we run the 305/45/17 street r's, if your dd though, a drag radial can be tricky in the wet....

Exactly it’s exactly like a stock mustang lol till you gas it and the turbos come on then it’s like a rocket haha it handles fine in the rain but don’t plan on hot riding around cause you will be spinning and not winning haha

I don't have 900rwhp, more like 700+ currently with a Vortech, but I have 20x9.5 and 20x11 Shelby CS3s with 275/35 and 305/30 Continental Extreme Contact Sports and like Hardmoney said for a street tire, they hook pretty well and handle great. I currently have Bridgestone 315/35s on the car and the Continental 305/30 hook way better.

I street on 28x10.5x15 mt slicks on beadlocks. They are a real treat when you get caught in the rain. They work great from a dig though.

My 305/35r20 et street SS will hook from second gear out if you air down a little and get them warm. This a 1000rwhp whipple car with a 6060 swap and 373 gearing.

How do you like the hook capability of the Cup 2 for street/strip use? I currently run mpss squared for (19 6gr wheels - 285 ). Like on the road courses, but hook like sh*t on the street (about 650 hp).

Switching to cup 2 setup in the spring. Toying with the idea of adding 2 11 inch wheels with MT s/s tires to roll around the street (weekend car) and hit the strip occasionally, but if cup2's are significantly better than mpss, i may just stick with that and see. I never hear of anyone using Cup tires on the strip.

I may have just typed myself into a decision to ignore the holiday MT tire sale tomorrow and wait LOL

I've got well over 800whp. I always have a drag pack on my car. With Mickey Thompson ET Street R's. I've driven in the downpours quite often as I live in Houston and the weather changes every 5 minutes. As long as you are around 40mph you shouldn't have a problem. Ive had both the R's and SS's. The R's are better on the track if you're going for deep 1.4 and 1.3 60's.
The SS tires are better for daily driving if you expect rain but they really aren't that much different from the R's in the rain. In my experience atleast.
