Had my Stang now for 6 months and 6000 miles, only got pulled over once for a rolling stop in an empty parking lot going 5mph, needless to say only got a warning, guess they hadn't had their coffee and donuts yet, lol.

I doubt there is a law against rolling past a stop sign on private property so probably just bored.

What do you do that $700 a month in insurance doesn't make you cry inside?

Geeze when my 6 month premium rolls around I cry a bit inside and it is $500.

To OP: If what you say is true, I would be putting together a plan to move away from anyplace that the cops put guns to people's heads for no reason.

... Plus, I don't know if I said this already, My dream car is not my dream car if I can not have it the way I want to have it.

I don't want to shell out all the $$ on tickets for modifying my own car. This time around I was sticking to the track the most I could, But that doesn't stop me from getting a modified exhaust, modified emissions and no front plate ticket. LOL.
Po-po may be irritable in your area. In that case, avoid mods that will draw unwanted attention, such as dark tint and loud mufflers and running without a front plate.

ah, I see - you would only have one-way insurance.

$300-400/mo can be the going rate for insurance here, but yes, $700/mo is quite high.
$300 - $400 @ month - normal for ONE car? Holy CRAP - I have 3 cars insured thru State Farm and they run a month, '16 Mustang GT - $55, '12 Explorer Sport - $57, '02 Ranger - $80 (that's liability only for a TEEN boy driver) yes those are MONTHLY costs. I cannot IMAGINE paying that much for insurance. Wow.....just wow.

Yeah. I find out tomorrow how much I'll be paying, Hopefully it's cheap :)!
So let me get this straight...one of the reasons you sold your Stang is to decrease insurance and you buy a new car without knowing what it'll be?

I mean an Altima should be less than a 5.0 but you are in a high crime area and your record sounds pretty rough. Insurance companies are going to love you know matter what new car with full coverage you buy.
