600w RMS Lights dimming

I recently installed a subwoofer and amp, with an RMS of 600w. The amp is tuned, but i've not done anything with forscan. All of my lights dim, including the little green light on the starter button. I installed this same system in my previous car with no issues. Anyone have any advice as to what the problem could be?

I mean it's not really a problem unless it's causing a problem but It's probably your battery. Stock batteries are not meant to have amplifiers hooked up to them sucking juice from them every other second. Lights are going to flicker if you're drawing alot of load. I'd upgrade to a better AGM battery. Also dont have too small of amp wiring. 4 gauge is fine. If you aren't wanting to do that and think your battery is fine you could add in a capacitor. Would take care of the light dimming and at that low of a wattage level make it sound a little better.

I do have 4 gauge wiring, and an XS Power d1200

I'd try a capacitor then. Maybe try fully charging your battery or turning down the Gain on the amp.

I assume this is with the car running? Your battery is not powering the amp when the car is running, the alternator is. 600 watts at 14 volts draw at most 42 amps…but that’s at full power using a sine wave signal…which no one listens to. So assume you’re a bass head you may be pulling 34 amps on heavy bass drops. The stock alternator is more than capable of handling a 34 amp draw unless you have every single accessory, AC, high beams, seat heater and light on in the car. Start with having a charging system check done on your car and that should identify any issues with the alternator or wiring and go from there.

Not enough information so you are just going to get guesses. I'm a licensed electrician (also was a car stereo installer when in college) and need these questions answered.
1. Where is the amp mounted? ie distance from the battery=voltage drop
2. How/where is the amp ground source?
3. Where/what is the power source for the amp?
4. What rating does the manufacturer give for current draw at full output?
5. What type of connectors did you use for power and ground?
