Why does 2020 GT loose 500 rpm?

Maybe your just seeing where the max horsepower is? Max power at 7k, but it revs higher than that. I could be wrong, haven't looked, but doubt they dropped the redline.

Interesting as the 2020 tech specs still show 7500. If it did go down to 7000 I'm so glad I bought a 2019.

I got the specs right off Fords website an hour ago, l wonder why there’s a discrepancy.

That’s not redline. That’s peak HP.

You want to run across peak horsepower and down the other side a bit so when the car shifts you will be close to the same place on the left side of the curve. Makes for best average horsepower. Long flat HP curves.

And redline is 7500 on all gen 3s.

I think Ford needs better QC in their specs like they need in Flat Rock. I saw something the other day that showed the '20 Mustangs had gained like 500 lbs over the '19's.

Redline is 7400. Even the picture posted shows the 7400 redline. Look closely at the small tick before the 7500 line. It’s red and if you watch the numbers that max out right around 7400.. you may get 7430 out of it...
