Just recieved my armrest today. Looks pretty good - if you didn't know better, you wouldn't know it was after-market. Fit isn't exact (it moves around a little bit), but am going to stick a few bits of felt to the curved holder things (see pic) to see if that helps and to also make sure there are no scratches. Overall I'm pleased with the product. Expensive compared to the usual ebay/aliexpress tat, but cheap when compared to the time I'd spend putting together a similar item myself (I've had the materials to make something similar for 2 years but never got around to it). Looks pretty well made as well.

I see it cleans up the "flow-thru" quite nicely. But other that the "clean" look, I cant see it serving any other function for me anyways....

The cupholders are useless as drinks holders in our UK RHD cars as they sit close to the driver (the centre console isn't reversed for RHD cars, it's the same). So no loss really.

Oh man, that is clean! Had no idea this kind of product existed, but now that I know it does I need it. I rarely have drinks in my car, so this fits my style really well.

After looking at it from the rear window I can see your dilemma. Anything in the cup holder that sticks up above the console surface would get in the way. Bad design.

Yes, handy for putting wallet and phone in, but can't have actual drinks in them and expect to use the gear-stick. We randomly all got the 'smokers-pack' as standard in the UK, which included an ashtray in the cupholder, as if to say "it's not meant to be a cupholder, it's an ashtray"!

It's kind of ridiculous that Ford didn't mirror image the center console like they did for other RHD components. All the more absurd in that this was the first Mustang specifically designed for a global market, and somehow nobody sat in a RHD prototype with cups and said "wait a minute...".

I suppose all these costs of changing components mount up and they have a buget to stick to. For me the main anoying thing is the door mirrors. Export cars have massive ones with electic fold in. However, looks like they didn't change them for the RHD car, so the passenger side mirror is almost useless, despite being huge. The driving position is fine though, which is the main thing. It's not unheard of for RHD versions of other makes/models to have slighly angled seats or pedals.

Yes, it's just that the position of the cupholders on RHD cars makes them useless for drinks anyway, so you don't miss them. The product rests securely on top of the holders, so you can just take it off in 1 second and throw it in the back if you really need to be driving along slurping down on your Dr Pepper.

Apart from the 'clean'/upmarket look, I think they make a difference on long jouneys. Much nicer to rest your elbow on a comfortable padded rest than in a cupholder.
