3rd gear power loss

Okay, looked at my logs. Right on the 2-3 shift the torque source goes from driver demand to "tipout limit", and stays in tipout for awhile. Spark source stayed in torque control. Any idea what tipout limit is?

Yea man you are hitting a tip out torque limit on your 2/3 shift.This will have to be changed in the tune,so u are not hitting that limit.Did u have this issue when you were running the smaller pulley.Seems like it would have been worse with more power.Are u still using the same throttle body?

Hey man have u ever takin off your wot box and logged to see if it still does this.From what i gather tipout is a limit you are hitting when lifting for your 2/3 shift.Maybe your wot box delay is messing with it or something in your TB.

You should really go to the HPTuners forum and post a log and your tune. Several people there actually know what they are talking about. There is a lot of speculation going on in this thread. In my own logs, if I let off the gas after a run, but stay in gear, I also get tipout limit. I doubt that is an indicator of your actual issue as I have no problems with the throttle closing on me. If I had to guess, I would say that tipin and tipout are indicated during transient throttle conditions like stepping on the gas or letting off. I think your issue probably has to do with inaccurate values in the driver demand and torque inverse tables that the ECU uses to control the throttle based on pedal input and the amount of torque the engine is actually producing. Ford's torque based control is very complex, so talk to someone who knows what they are talking about like some of the HPTuners experts, or your local tuner.
