It is really hard who to trust right now. According to that article the straightline acceleration is better than how the car handles around the course. Slower than a new regular vette but a little faster than an m4, which makes it slower than a z28 around that track? So confusing:shrug:
I think its a fake article.

That article is fake. 130 MPH trap speed? That's what supercharged GTs are running right now. That's 600+HP to the wheels.

Nobody wants to to get into the reason an SS Dyno's better than a 460hp, Transaxle'd Corvette with huge equipment advantages...

I find it strange that the intense detective work comes to a halt when they get caught cheating....
Actually multiple people tried to get into it but you won't address there points. Different dynos. End of story you lose this one. Z28 is sketchy, you have a case there. Nothing out of line with the SS numbers.

The points made were loose... The SS that dyno'd 405rwhp is hot... It's about 4% better than the C7 Z51 and it was using 91 octane. The C7 is also rated at 460hp and it was out dyno'd by the 455hp Camaro...

The Corvette uses a transaxle, a more efficient IRS and drivetrain AND, I assume most Dyno's are done with 93 octane.

The Camaro should lose between 14-15% to the wheels... not 11%...

The points made need to be solid here... because the point thePill made above is difficult to dismiss.

The z28 also improved its RWHP by about 4%... I know for sure its not losing 7% to the wheels... and on 91 Octane...

Both of the vehicles dyno'd hot compared to the competition that dyno'd with them.

Different dynos. Comparing the 2 is as ridiculous as comparing track times on different days done by different drivers.

I understand that... the vehicles they tested with, the GT, GT350 and GT350R dyno'd normal... if the dyno was happy, it wouldn't be Camaro specific.

Both Camaro's Chevy sent Motor Trend dyno'd about 4% too high... across the board. The Mustang's dyno'd as they should...

Lol you can't be serious? Obviously a fake page.

"Yes, very, very bad news for all GM fans whom love Corvettes and the Z06 and ZR1, etc. Due to a private planifying + lifetime midlife crisifying + falsifying horsepower ratings + multiple Hellcatifying, Viperifying, "

Yeah, that sounds like something Car and Driver would report after the z06 demolished everyone, including super cars, in the lightning lap. Lol.

Dyno wasn't happy. The Camaro was within typical allowed ranges. The SAE results, same day and dyno, showed the Camaro dyno'd higher than the Corvette as well. That's two instances of a Camaro dyno'ing higher, one of them in a certification condition. Ford is notorious for having horrible OAR, and pull timing way too soon, even on 93 octane. Add in 91, and you lose too much power.

Unless they employ force induction, GM has to use displacement to keep up with the little 5.2. It's sad how all these years GM has been having to fight 4.6's and 5.0's and 5.4's with all the displacement they use. That's not saying much for efficiency but as the guys said in the 70's there's no match for

GM uses cylinder deactivation in order to avoid the gas $ penalty. The 6.2 is the smallest engine they can use. Anything smaller would cause a vibration problem in 4 cylinder mode. That's what I read about the C7 and camaro.
