Has anyone thought of trying to fit a 350R brake booster? Wonder if there is some pedal feel and brake performance to be had?

Not sure what the differences are in the boosters but I am thinking about adding a vac canister in front of the stock GT brake booster, I have had a few times that while rev matching on downshifts and hard on the brakes that I have lost servo assist of the brakes. For the few times that it has happened I think it is caused by over shooting the rev match while trail braking into a corner, then the pedal goes hard with no assist left from the brake booster.

I have a gut feeling that it is also being aggravated by the cars tendency to hang the throttle at high RPMs when the clutch is engaged. The stock tune did this a little but the Lund tune does it as well. I think the throttle is hanging open for a second and delaying the building of vac signal to the brake booster. Adding the vac canister and having a large reserve of vac signal may result in a more consistent brake feel in the long run as well. They are cheap and easy to install so it is worth a try and can not hurt. Since I have a cage and nothing under my dash I will likely add it under the dash near the brake pedal assembly.

That's a good idea too. I think I just need more pressure with the upgraded brakes. When I come back in off track brake fluid is making it past the cap and getting messy. Car stops great now, but just wondering if a $100 brake booster could take it to the next level.

I had noticed vac assist issues as well and was thinking about stealing the electric vac backup from a Traverse to test.
Any experience with setting these up?
You have a part in mind?

Something like this one from Jegs or the one from Comp Cams. They include a check valve and fittings so all that is needed is some longer pieces of hose to splice the canister in between the vac source and the brake booster.

Did anyone ever attempt any of the above. The hard pedal happened to me a few times this weekend. It happened my last event earlier this year but only once or twice and didn't really understand it but between then and last weekend i sort have learned it was the booster assist. Happened a few times this week that were a bit scary not brake fade it was definetly hard pedal. I think with the addition of having a gt350 manifold and from what i read above rev matching or in my case autoblip i run out of vacuum or not enough to start with. Looking into a solution as i had to hold back on my brake a bit just to make sure i didn't overcook it into a turn. I'm also running gloc r16 so i was also learning what a track pad was capable of but would rather have a solution that i can do and not worry again.

Thanks in advance
