That's pretty wide for a 9.5" wheel....

It's doable, but the car will sacrifice a lot in the handling/cornering dept.

Don't do it! 305's were barely fitting good on my 20x10" wheel.

Get a 295.

I believe someone posted al ink to purchase a wider PP wheel from an aftermarket company. I'd look into that if you wanted bigger.

hmmm still thinking about it, i wanted the nittos nt05r and thats the smallest size they make.
305 will not fit on the OEM wheels. 285-295 is pushing it. Here is going to be the best tire you can put on OEM sizes:
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Yokohama&tireModel=ADVAN+Neova+AD08+R

255/35/19 and 275/35/19 OR
265/35/19 and 285/35/19
cant put that kinda power down with those tires. but i think they will fit, you can say putting a 12" tire on a 9.5" wheels probably isnt the best situation. but i am asking if they will fit

Tire width does not directly mean you will put your power down... And I mean sure you can shove an improperly sized tire on whatever wheel you want, you'll just have the sidewalls fail on you and possibly spin out.

Changing to a tire that has a much better compound is going to get your power down. Also you realize that the hellcat only has sub-par 275's right? So switching to a properly sized r-compound tire that is also 10mm wider on all fours should be plenty more grip without you having to fork out more cash for different wheels.

Ditto! Sure they'll "fit". But a wider tread with narrower rim will also affect the actual contact pattern of the tire with the pavement. Usually lowering tire pressure helps the contact pattern, but the sidewalls suffer. No free lunch. Compound is the key. No free lunch there either... the more they stick, the faster they wear.

That is all...

not really worried about handling, its not my daily. I think 305 drag redial is much better option. I am sure the 275 pzeros are great for driving from the garage to the car show back to the garage its just what i see with the hellcat guy:lol:. as far as wearing fast my pzeros only have 4k miles on them and are pretty low, even with with the wear bars.

it has been confirmed that members are running 305 tires on the stock GT PP wheels. it just bludges out a lot but other then that youd be fine if thats what you want.

I'd think a 305 would fit on a 9.5" wheel no questions asked? In the lifted truck world, a 315 (12.5" wide) on a 9"-10" wheel looks "right", but some shove them on 8" wheels. The factory tires on PP cars look like they are too narrow to me. They have that stretched look that is popular on trucks on the west coast. I'm a walking encyclopedia when it comes to truck wheels/tires/suspension but admittedly not real well versed about car wheels/tires. However, I've been assuming that Id replace the original tires with 315s on my PP car when I wear out the stockers. Guess I thought wrong?

They will fit, one guy on the svt forum is running that same set up with 1" spacers and steeda lowering springs. If your just gonna be using the tire to hot rod around town or the drag strip go for it, won't hurt a thing

OP, did you ever go forward with this?

I'm looking at the MT ET street in 305/35/19 to fit on my stock PP rear. Car loses traction dropping it in 3rd or 4th on the highway, so it's time for tires.
