If you have android auto on your phone and connect it to a car with USB that doesn't support mirroring to its screen (like a 300A package screen), it will still run on your phone and present the interface there. But the USB audio will allow it to play over the car's speakers.

So basically the same as just using Bluetooth?

Pretty much. Just with the android auto touch controls and voice commands.

If you do want to upgrade to sync 3 with Android auto its very easy though, just plug and play. Just money

I'd never be able to use it! I'm barely able to use the Bluetooth as it is!
