Anyone in here upgraded from the PP 3.55 to the 3.73 gears? Or even the Torsen dif and the 3.73? Thoughts? Impressions?

From experience it is sometimes hard to justify going from 3.55 to 3.73 due to the small incremental change in gear ratio. There isn't as much difference felt "seat of the pants" as when going from 3.31 to 3.73s.

If "feel" is what you are after it is hard to justify the swap. If you are targeting a certain rpm or gear going through the traps a small incremental gear change can be used as a fine tuning tool.

A Torsen diff is a good for improving traction when one of the rear wheels has limited traction. It will allow the power to go from the slipping wheel to both wheels to keep the car moving. This is useful in road course type racing.

In general it really depends what you are using the car for and what your goals are for it.

Hope this helps!

Great response! Ty so much! I am a DD, so seat of the pants is really what I was going for. This helps a lot. I was close to spending $1000 on it lol
