To much power... just had my first popo chase... at-least that's what she said... to my surprise she even called backup .... I didn't even notice the chase until I stopped at my door... luckily I just got a warning as she hasn't been able to measure my speed...

2.5 feels best to me, that would be 2.3 when cold. So I don't know why they showed 2.8 yesterday as it was only a short drive back & forth to gas station in wet conditions. The guy at the gaspump was surprised how much tear my rear tires already have after 8500KM.
I had 2.4 when cold, went up to 2.7-2.8 warm. So when I finally reduced the pressure to 2.2 today (as the sticker says it should be), the car started to give warning lights for low tire pressure :frosty: The machine said 2.2, the car's sensors said 2.2 cold (2.3-2.4 warm) and the sticker says it should be 2.2. So it should be spot on but still gives the warning.

You're OK with 2.3 cold Notes? No warning lights?

Anybody maybe knows if it's possible to tell the ECU it's OK to have 2.2 :D? (Doesn't work with the Cobb AP unfortunately)

Oh I never had a look at the sticker... they are still at 2.5 and when warm 2.7, but I do notice my rears are getting worn out after 10000km. I wonder if anyone swapped them with the fronts so they wear out a bit more even? I used to do this all the time before I got the S550...

Not sure what Ford did with my Mustang during it's first 28km, but there was noticeable wear on the rears compared to the fronts, so I swapped mine when taking the winters off.

Haven't checked tyre pressure though - is less pressure better for fuel eco or speed?

There's an optimum for both, but in general: more pressure for the Eco, less pressure for the Boost.

To much pressure will wear the center of the tires faster (sides have less contact)
To little pressure will wear the sides of the tires faster (center will have less contact)

Is this on all 4 tires?

On 2.5/2.7 when warm my pull are awesome, with less pressure I feel more drag from the rears... but then again I have similar impressions with different fuels as well so it might be an illusion ;)

Should be for the 4 tires I'd say yes! Mustang is like 49/51 weight distribution? So all 4 tires should more or less be carrying the same weight. So don't think the rear tires will wear in a different way if they are inflated with the same pressure as the front tires. Just faster cause they do all the work to get the power down. Here's how the wear changes with over or under inflation of the tires (photo attached)

tirerack.com says the max inflation of the P-Zero is 50PSI. That's 3.44bar and the sticker in the door says the optimum is 220KPa, or 2.2bar. So I'd say we're good.

It's annoying though the sticker says it should be 2.2, then the car says it's to low. Turns out it's because that's how Ford programmed the sensors. I'll go ask the dealer to set it at 2.2 on mine, cause now I've seen this video where Bill from CJPP has 32PSI (2.2bar) in the tires. And Bill knows, so now I need 2.2bar in mine.

Interesting thanks for the info! So 2.3 could be the way to go as a middle man, that would be about 2.5/2.6 when warm? I'm surprised how well they hold the pressure though, it's been almost 2 months that I set them to 2.5 and they still show exactly 2.5 on a cold start.

Just found out there's a reset feature in our board computer Notes ! So no need for the dealer to do it! Maybe if you change rims? Not sure...

the tires are at 2.2 hot now and the warning lights are gone after reseting the sensors via the driver's settings.

At the dealer they swapped/rotated my tires last week and set the pressure at 2.2 rear & 2.3 front. On a cold/fresh day it's more like 2.1 rear & 2.2 (cold) & 2.2/2.3 (warm)
The car feels like its dragging a couple tons of potatoes behind it... and my fuel consumption has gone back up from 12.2 to 14.9L/100KM, apparently this is what you get using the recommend pressure levels... The car does feel less bumpy and a bit softer though...

I will to redo them later on today and see if 2.3/2.4 will perform better.

On a side note; I had to reset the sensors after I rotated the tires, front showed in the rear section of the monitor.

I randomly got a warning telling me sensor malfunction this summer... paniced for a bit and just hit reset after a few short drives/start/stops didn't fix the issue. Been good since... didn't have to reset when I changed from winters to summers though, so that was odd...
