I have a question for folks that have taken delivery of your Mischievous Purple cars.....Do you still love the color? Any regrets? I ask because I was looking at one in the showroom yesterday (my 23 MP is on order) and it just looked kind of blah, murky inside the showroom. I know they look better outside and you see the purple more in sunlight....I flip flop between MP and Grabber Blue. Just want to see what people are feeling now that they have their cars. It's a big investment and I want to be happy....It's not too late to change it so I want to be sure. Thanks for any input!

TJ- I am also setting up PPF and ceramic for my ride when it comes. I have let the dealer know not to have the exterior of the car prepped, as the detailer I'm using will handle it.
My current plan is to have the front, full hood, partial fenders, mirrors and lights covered. with ppf. I'm on the fence about adding the rockers. Live on a dirt/gravel road and have a lengthy gravel driveway, so it might be wise to add them.
What areas are you having done with PPF?
Pretty much the "Front clip" as you listed - no rockers. But I will be adding the A-Pillars as well (thanks to @DandeeLioness for that idea) because I know I had chips there from highway driving in my old Mustang. If you live on a gravel road or drive within 5 miles of them lol I'd get the rockers done. What is it like $250 or so more? Compared to fear every time you go down a gravel / dirt road meh. Spend the money.

MY suggestion? Ask this in the MP thread of the photo section. You'll likely get more responses. From what I've seen - MP can really throw some amazing shows and I gave it some serious thought - but I want to be seen from a satellite regardless of lighting. That's why I went GBM.

My dealer called today to let me know they got notification about the delivery eta. I said appreciate that, but I'm way ahead of you on the intel (thanks to learning from everyone here on where to look and what to expect). There have been times when I actually provided the dealer with status info on my order 🤣

I was able to get the freight carrier and rail car number info from the dealer. Is there a way I can track or check for travel updates myself as we approach the finish line of this looooong process?
This is the thread @TentacleKitty put together a bit ago. From what I've seen - it's the best for detailing the process. I never got the rail tracking to work but thankfully it was a short period so I didn't have to go *too* crazy with the wait.

I have MP. I took a dealer ordered car that isn’t everything I wanted. Will we ever see MP again? Probably not. So I ordered a 23 exactly like I wanted in MP. No regrets. I would not be ordering a 23 if MP wasn’t offered. It’s sometimes purple sometimes blue sometimes black sometimes all 3.

There’s some good pics in both the MP and GBM threads to compare the two. I personally like colors that jump out (my first S550 was triple yellow) but at the same time MP is a pretty cool color also. As mentioned above, I think this will be the last go around for MP so it should end up being a pretty rare color if that’s some that factors into your decision.

The place I will most likely have it done will be $300 for the rockers. Most places were $350-400 extra.
Thanks for the good input; the extra cash will be inconsequential over time....but one errant chip will be devastating to my Type-A persona! 🤣
What are the A-Pillars adding to the job roughly?

Not sure of the breakout cost for the A-Pillars lol. I know the entire front end, including wrapping edges and having no visible seams - will be $1,950 using Suntek Ultra.

I'm quite resigned I will see my car when it will be too cold to drive it. She was released from the port more than two weeks ago but the dealer has no news, and the ETA is still end of November.

I'm getting cold feet.

Another, potentially cheaper alternative (compliments of the awesome @Farkel) you can consider if you’re concerned about kicking up gravel are Rokblokz — or Mustang mudflaps/splash guards!

I’m adding them to my accessories list after he recommended them to me and I did a bit of research. šŸ‘

Rokblokz are fantastic! Had them on my 2016 and just got a set for my ā€˜22. The rears require the wheels to be off so I’ll just install them when I change over to my winter set in a few weeks.

Yeah when he first told me about them my ignorant mind immediately pictured semi-truck mudflaps (complete with the sultry lady silhouette and everything LOL) clunking around behind my GT’s wheels šŸ˜‚

He was quick to educate me and now I’m sold! Did you get them in black or bright blue? I’m curious what the blues would look like paired with the GBM, though I’ll probably stick with black.

LOL on the truck flaps! I went with black, wasn’t sure how the blue was going to look with GBM plus I have some other black accents on my car so figured the black Rokblokz would be another good black accent on the car.
