Just saw the Production Week Scheduling on Blue Oval Forum. I'm confused...It says MY23 Mustang no scheduling, but then says MY23 Start Up Scheduling 10/20/2022. Does anyone know what that means?
Ball park guess is they are behind on MY22 close out. They won’t start scheduling until the close out date can be confirmed. I believe close out was going to be 11/29 and job#1 was going to be 11/30. Looks like there will be a delay for one reason or another! Why does that not surprise me in the least bit?

So 22 MYs would keep getting scheduled and built until that close out date? Or would it just be ford finishing up the already in production 22 MYs?

asking because im probably going to need to switch to a '23 order and looking at doing it very soon

i wish I could give you a legitimate answer but at this point all I’m doing is guessing. In my case I received an email from Ford a few weeks ago saying that my MY22 order was not going to be selected for production. If you haven’t received one of those there might still be a chance of getting scheduled. I would be in touch with my dealer and request some guidance And maybe get that MY23 order in soon if needed.

What a mess! 😥😥😥 Interesting that it’s your Cosstal and his Cali Special as they both have a few things in common, such as grill, tribar emblem, side scoops, and spoiler. Could be they are short one of these items that is holding up the release.
There are no holds apparent on the dealership view. I'm wondering why hold up a car for something like an emblem that can easily be attached later at the dealership.

Yay big sis is (officially) at the stable!! I was seriously checking the forum all day to see if you were able to confirm lol

She is definitely gorgeous and can’t wait to hear about your first drive 🤩 And it’s amazing you may have totally called it about having her by Sunday! 😂

Apparently threatening them with Ice Ice Baby is somewhat effective lol. I don't think I'll actually get her until Monday but I made a strong in-person case for tomorrow - so I did my due diligence lol. I honestly think the sales rep is off on Sunday and quite honestly - in a year, I won't give a damn that I got her on a Monday instead of a Sunday so ok. I *think* I'll live if I don't get her until Monday morning.

Also found a ppf / ceramic place I think I'm going with - I'll likely drop her off the first week of November for that.

That just goes to show how apparently random the shipping is. It's not like I'm that much closer lol. I think I may be further away. But - different carriers and possibly more convoys on your part?

As far as pics... oh they'll be coming. lol. Don't you worry about that. lol
Its possible, although I only know of the initial rail carrier from Flat Rock at this point.

My dealer called today to let me know they got notification about the delivery eta. I said appreciate that, but I'm way ahead of you on the intel (thanks to learning from everyone here on where to look and what to expect). There have been times when I actually provided the dealer with status info on my order 🤣

I was able to get the freight carrier and rail car number info from the dealer. Is there a way I can track or check for travel updates myself as we approach the finish line of this looooong process?

Are car dealerships open on Sunday in GA? They are not in IL.

Oh man that’s a fair (or unfair for Tawse lol) point! Mine isn’t open on Sundays but I’m not sure about the rest of Georgia. 🤔

I’m thinking if the dealer introduced the possibility of a Sunday pickup by mentioning she wouldn’t be ready until tomorrow or Monday, then perhaps they are open…? I sure hope so!

Yeah that would be great if Tawse could get his ride tomorrow. IL has a law against car sales on Sunday but I know some states do allow it. Either way, good to see cars showing up at dealerships! Hopefully everyone waiting gets theirs soon!

TJ- I am also setting up PPF and ceramic for my ride when it comes. I have let the dealer know not to have the exterior of the car prepped, as the detailer I'm using will handle it.
My current plan is to have the front, full hood, partial fenders, mirrors and lights covered. with ppf. I'm on the fence about adding the rockers. Live on a dirt/gravel road and have a lengthy gravel driveway, so it might be wise to add them.
What areas are you having done with PPF?
