I have now started sending my sales rep lyrics to Ice Ice Baby with a threat that it will continue until I get to be "rolling, in my 5.0".

window sticker says 4g delete. is everyone getting built now 4g delete?
what is fascinating is that that chip should be straight out of any of the telecom suppliers catalog (eg. Samsung) so there should be millions of overstock going on as cell phone production has taken a MAJOR down turn.

But thanks Ford for $20 savings, when the 200A package cost me what $4000 and the claimed feature cost embedded in the 200A aggregate price was like $200-400? Talk about a shameless FU to your customers.

It's the Hotspot delete and yep. Everyone.
i have mixed feelings on it. the hotspot comes in handy in the edge we have. My regular cell phone is not an unlimited plan so on road trips the kids can stream on the car's unlimited plan. and being able to see where the car is and lock/unlock with ford pass is nice, and the push notifications through ford pass if the alarm is triggered is nice.... that said I had planned to pull fuse for the modem on the mustang because of privacy concerns. I do not want ford monitoring the vehicle and possibly sharing usage information with 3rd parties like insurance through ford pass. So I would like to have it and the ability to choose to use, but I am ok with not having it also. I might leave the modem disabled all the time and just plug it in if the car is left at the airport or something and want to make sure its not tampered with.
i wondered though because I'm still looking at window stickers for cars on the lots and have been seeing a lot of 4g deletes.

I don't believe this will effect your ability to use Ford Pass to view and do other remote features. It'll just remove the ability to tap into it as a hotspot. But, this isn't my strong point so we'll see what others say.

Just an FYI the remote start, lock, unlock, etc. thru FordPass works without the hotspot delete. The hotspot is just to connect wireless devices to a 4G connection in the car. I have the delete and all my FordPass stuff works fine.

Seriously, I would like the option to buy the wifi module later but I'm sure it will be $200. There's no way in hell they would sell it to us for $20.

It was announced in august( somewhere around there) that all cars will have the mandatory hotspot delete to be built.

Just talked to my sales guy, said the last update on the VVR was Illinois 6 days ago. Next update will probably be when it hits the ramp in Texas. They've been great to deal with, assured me I am rate protected (I was concerned with all the rate hikes going on) and said as soon as the vehicle gets to Texas he will submit the financing paperwork. Gave me the total of TTL + Down payment so I can get a cashiers check ready.

Well... A couple more stolen... Wonder how the 25 foot jump off an overpass worked out for the thief...
Hopefully he gets everything he deserves and then some. What are they saying locally? From far away this seems to be happening with more frequency and these thieves seem to know exactly what they’re going after and where they’re located within Flat Rock. Inside job?

They've got this guy now, so likely they'll be able to figure out who's doing it and how. They seem kinda dumb though since this isn't the first time they've run out of gas. How do they not know that Ford is only putting enough gas in them to get them onto and off of transport?

i think i read somewhere that the 4g delete from factory is not something that can be added back to the car... ever.

I'd probably never use it but the option would be nice.
