New update, I think? The tracker still says "in production." I chatted with the Ford Performance chat line on Monday and was told the car is on the trim line. I just checked back in and the guy I spoke to said he doesn't see anything about it being on the trim line, and that all it says is "produced" with an "ETA of 9/27-10/3." I asked if that means it has finished being built and he literally said "no idea." LOL - so what do you guys think? Is it possible it's built?!

I had the same thing happen with mine last week and got the Built email a few days later so you’re basically built. The eta he gave you is for delivery but know that those dates will fluctuate until the car actually ships. You’re almost there!

Until you get the built email it’s in limbo and not released. I have been in production since 8/29, and I am in my delivery window. But as it is. It released no one can tell me anything.

I chatted with Ford Performance today, my car has been sitting at a railyard near Chicago since last week. It's still scheduled to arrive next week though and the FP guy didn't see any reason it'd be held up.

Except for maybe the strike I guess. đź’€

Honda builds great everything! 250k+ miles on Gold Wings and they never let me down. Hope my Mustang does as well. In Montana on a 10-day trip — 2100 miles since I picked it up and I love it!!!
This will be my first Ford product since 1980 and will be the reason I will be sticking with Honda from now on. My last 2 Honda daily drivers have been the best cars I have ever owned bar none.

Looks like MY2023 is going to be a short run as we kind of expected. Ford has on their Facebook page that the s650 will be available summer 2023…

Sounds like a tentative deal has been reached and the rail strike has been averted. Ship those cars Ford!

It's still a loss of a customer vehicle though. New car gets coded priority 1 and Ford simply extends the X-pricing scheme from the 22 to the 23 model with the same options. It's what they used to do. Would they still do that? My guess is that they probably would.

LOL... I have a 2012 CRV that I expect to outlive me. Is it an amazing performance machine? Nope, but they thing just works...
The new 2024 Mustang looks like a Camaro clone to me. - especially the side view.

Looks like not waiting was a great call. The Dark Horse version might be the only one of interest. I see what they tried to do in the back, but it got butchered pretty hard. Maybe a subtle refresh in a couple years will fix it.

I thought the same thing! Look at the rear end of a 2019 camaro and look at the mustang. I'm fine with the car but wish they wouldve done less bulky black plastic on the rear. S550 is nice and sleek back there.

Did you guys know there were 12 mustangs stolen 9/8, and then apparently it was 8 stolen on tuesday? The numbers are all over the place, but the detroit free press talks about 12 stolen on 9/8 at 1am and an additional 8 stolen this tuesday at 2 am. Funny thing is I got a " While production of your vehicle was projected to begin the week of August 29, 2022, supply chain challenges continue to cause delays and uncertainty. " email. My car is produced but thats it, i hope its a generic email and that wasn't notification that my car was stolen...

I got the same email a day before my car went to Built status, so I think it’s just automatically generated. I think the email would be a little more specific if your car was actually stolen.
