Thank you for clearing everything up! Do you know what happens to all of us that get canceled? Do our cars just get moved to first production 2022 models?

You should get with your dealer and make sure you get their 2022 allocation and place your 22 order on the day the GT500 order banks open. Make sure the order is in your name and has a priority of 10.

So that actually means special order.
Retail = Special / Customer Order
Stock = Dealer ordered for stock.

Stock orders are usually scheduled for a later date than retail orders.

I will keep my fingers crossed. My dealer is completely oblivious to what is going on…

If your car does not have a VIN or is scheduled for Dec and is not a CFTP car, I am afraid that your order will be cancelled. Ford is trying to get CFTP cars scheduled for Dec, moved to Nov.
A member on another forum just had his CFTP cars VIN sent to the plant for production and it was scheduled for Nov 29th.

Welp dang guys. Don't wanna go into what I do but I put a call in and yes gt500's will balance out at end of November. Don't think we'll see an extension.

I'm hearing nationally 480 Vin's will be cancelled. I've had a VIN since July but we messed up and didn't put mine in as a special order. This is all due to supply constraints.

Those of you that are ordered as a retail (special order) and not stock units have a better chance of being built. Ford is focusing on completing VIN's that are SO.

I get a final word on everything within 2 weeks from today. I'll keep yall posted.

I'm sad, I'm obsessed with FPB.
480 Shelbys or Mustangs?

Hi all
Newbe to the forum. I just got my 21 two week ago. It took me a few months of looking but I got it without ordering it. In fact I passed on a couple. I contacted maybe 50+ dealers around the country. Your going to pay over msrp. It varied as I got a quote from almost all of them. Lowest was 8K over to worst 33K over. (so the dealer said. Hard to believe someone would pay that much over)
You had better be ready to buy, as I lost three messing around trying to decide. Al You can find that out on the Ford website. Start putting in different zip codes. They tell you what is going out, if it is a dealer purchased, pass on it. He has a buyer then. If it says nothing it is a allocation. You can get each window sticker so you know what all is on it. Don't believe the dealers when they tell you to put money down as the car is coming in. They don't really know. They do get up dates from Ford, but in three cases the car was coming in and it never showed up, so I moved on and kept looking. In fact when i found mine the dealer said it was scheduled to come in 2 week. Next morning it came in. I believe they are still building because they got behind. I read they were going to shut down production Sept 30th. So don't think it would be for to long.
Good luck.
Jim O.

seeing this and knowing my normal dealers small size makes me glad I settled for a currently available car in color I’m ok with but wasn’t gonna order.

@Zach@Granger based on the picture above, how many GT500s orders are you estimating to have available for 2022? How long is your waiting list? Cheers
