Hi there,

going to be starting up at my local club with Track Days in my 2020 PP2.

Would changing the Diff Oil (Brand and Weight recommendations? 1.6L I believe is correct?) help with cooling? Thoughts?

I am sure I'll eventually buy a whole cooling kit (perhaps for next season).

Red line 75w85. I tried it on my last change and seam to like it more the the oem. If you are like me you will drain it and fill it using a hand transfer pump and put it all back togather and be very happy with yourself, just to knock over the oid fluid as you crawl yourself out from under the car. Then your garage will smell like gear oil for weeks. But its all good. Just part of the process.

For track use, lots of guys run 75w140 with no issues. While it doesn't cool the diff any better, it does provide more protection at higher temps. Just like with engine oil, the higher the temperature the more it shears and thins out so a thicker oil will help keep it's integrity at higher temps.

I personally used Amsoil Severe Gear but there are lots of good synthetic options.

Fantastic. Is this OK to leave in the diff for DD?

I've had no issue, even in cold weather. Just don't beat on it until it gets up to proper temp and you will be fine. Kinda like motor oil, the first number determines the viscosity in the winter. It's still 75w.
