I am afraid that the all electric Mustang type of vehicle might be nice, but can we get people to buy them.
Could be a small niche market, depending on the range and price.
Make it too expensive and not many will buy. Don't give it at least 250 mile range and not many CAN buy.
All electric means you have to have a place to plug in overnight, many live in apartments, condos and street parking so not for them.
And the Tesla has many thousands of those remaining electric vehicle customers waiting with a deposit, and out of the market perhaps.
The real sales would be in revamping the SUV models with plug in hybrid capability, which Ford is working on like the Ranger, Bronco, Explorer, Aviator and Escape, but these are taking a long time to come to market. We have customers asking weekly about the Ranger, and Aviator and all we can say is next year, later, later....
