Hey y’all, was wondering if anyone has managed to run 2020 GT500 injectors in their coyotes? Doing a manifold swap soon and thinking it may be a nice upgrade over LU47’s

running these. tuner will need to get the data from a gt500 tune. direct swap. nozzle has more holes guessing more misting vs spray?

tune data shows them at 68lbs/hr vs the lu47 at 56lbs/hr at 55psi. they are larger, few % less DC with 5lb/min more air flow at the top of 4th. i haven't had consistent weather temps before the swap to compare too though. cold air= more air/fuel with the blower..

So i’ve since installed these injectors and working on tuning with Rob at Palm Beach Dyno and we’re running into a big issue where it’s running lean as hell under partial throttle. Ken at PBD said this is the leanest car he’s ever seen tuned by them, but according to Rob, normal driving and WOT fueling is fine. Whenever i get around half throttle the car stutters like crazy and feels like it pulls hella timing. we’ve checked over and over again for vacuum leaks and found nothing. I and my associates are utterly lost and have no idea what to do with such a simple setup

I would suggest taking the injectors out and flow testing them personally. Unless you have already, you may have a sticking injector or two causing a lean condition.

That does make sense, and my car shows some symptoms of dirty injectors but these things were brand new in box straight from Ford, and haven’t even ran any E85 through them yet

id need to see a log.

fuel pressure is inferred and should be corrected before maf or any changes are made. this requires a way to log it against fuel flow to correct. most tuners pump up the maft curve and is why you see BS 50lb/min na logs floating around. this is not easy remote unless you are willing to get a fuel rail adapter/sensor and pigtail to wire into something like the AC sensor circuit.

beyond that i did find that the lo slope on these needed a bit of trimming but that was it. fuel pressure plays a big part into the trims if its wrong. iirc my lo slope needed to be decreased roughly 5-6% to get rich by 1-2% below the pw break point. But my fuel pump and rail pressures are accurate and have needed zero maft curve changes to get trims pretty much 1-3% across the board.

i suspect the lo slope being in a region that is non linear can have some variance depending on other variables with the vehicle. roush has different lo slopes for the same injectors in different years of coyotes etc.. should be cookie cutter but its not. the low slope is used quite a bit in areas half way up the maft curve depending on the throttle input. not sure if that is the cause of your lean part throttle but typically anything under 2ms pw is lo slope. i never noticed anything from driving the car though. took a log to tell the tale.

Was looking at this also. Was about to buy the ul47 injectors but was wondering if these fit plug and play and work better on a 19 GT.

Turns out the issue wasn’t injector related. These will work fine on a ‘19 GT

for a manifold swap, 47s are more than enough on n/a applications.

using an injector closer to your power goals always yields the best results, that said, these will work fine if you find a set laying around

If the gt500 is capable of +750 whp with minor bolts and a 93 tune with the stock injectors. Should those injectors be enough for a supercharged gen2 looking for high 600 low 700 whp?

another member here says he is over 800 whp with the LU47 but idk if that’s overkilling the injectors
