I wouldn't look at past trends with the C8. The Z06 engine is going to be costly, similar to the voodoo. The additional bits and pieces that make up the Z06 are going to be costly. Quite frankly, I would be shocked if the Z06 comes in under $100k, and I fully expect it to be even more exclusive than past offerings. GM is going to try to make this their supercar track pack...and it's going to carry a hefty price tag.

I think GM will really need to hit a certain price point. $100K+ base price is a huge jump vs C7 Z06 base price and will alienate a lot of buyers. Just for context in 2015 over 40% of all Corvette's sold that year were Z06's. That's a huge amount and they have a big owner base. But the 2015 Z06 started at $78,995.

No, a Z51 is a package, a GS is a package. A z06 and ZR1 are totally different corvettes.

Well, the ZL1 to the SS is as the Z06 is to the base vette. So yes, a lot of different parts.

GM considers the Stingray, Grand Sport, Z06, and ZR1 different models. If you go on their web site you will see different build options for each of them for 2019.
