Spreadsheet Update:
OK folks, this is an unusual spreadsheet update, not in the typical format.
As some of you may know, the Ford APIs have stopped giving out the detailed Status we were used to getting. Instead, we can only get a much less granular status. No-one seems to know why this happened and no-one we've contacted has been able to explain or help. The impact of this change is as follows:
- Some really interesting and useful status is now obscured. For example, orders that were canceled are now indistinguishable for orders that are pending. It's no longer possible to see the kind of shipping your car is loaded onto or where it is in the build process.
- The updates I used to present in this thread won't look the same as they once did
- A small subset of cars have "gone dark" in that I can no longer get data on them. All these cars were in the process of being delivered. I'm not quite sure what that means yet, but it's possible they're being more aggressive about removing the data once the car is delivered.
That said, it has't impacted what's in the spreadsheet with respect to the rich data on each car. I'm still able to get data on new VINs and the dealers that ordered them.
I updated the spreadsheet today and you'll see the new statuses. We'll use the status from today to establish a new baseline for future progress updates going forward. I can however report a few new VINs since the last update 10 days ago.
If anyone from Ford reads this and has the ability to investigate, I would just like to say that as fans of the brand and in particular the GT350, we were really blessed by the transparency we used to enjoy. I sincerely hope that it wasn't the data presented in this thread which influenced a decision to make the change. If indeed the change was accidental, then I for one would be delighted to have it reinstated.
