I'm very impresses by that car, and for the price.

do you guys think that many people that are considering a GT500 will move towards the Corvette? since its cheaper and has a super car looks.

what's your opinion?
Having bought a new c5 in 2002 and a new c6 in 2008 I don't believe you'll get a nice c8 for 59k.A new c7 zo6 with 2800 in options is going for 130 k in chicago.

I wish they would put the 5.5L or whatever size it end up being, in the base model. Don't need twin turbos and I would accept less power than 495 if it had the sound that I hear on the c8r test car. I want that exotic sound to match up with the exotic look. Something about a pushrod engine just doesn't quite do it for me. Sounds out of place in that car.

Who in their right mind would pay 130k on a z06? you sure it's not a zr1?

I expect the naturally aspirated 5.5L to be targeted for the Grand Sport. That's my current "where's my checkbook" trim. Thing is, Grand Sport usually follows Z06 in the rollout cadence since the Z06 is the first use of the more aggressive bodywork. That means I might have to wait a little longer for confirmation.

Exactly what I was thinking. Only Corvette I've ever seen priced there is ZR1.

I hope so, but the grandsport doesn't typically get a different engine from the base model, just styling and aero que's from the z06. We will see

There’s two ways to look at C7 Grand Sport.... A Stingray with the Z06 wide-body and track package, or a Z06 minus boost. I am not sure if C8 Grand Sport will be Stingray with Z06 body or if it will be Z06 without boost. I’m hoping the latter, because then it would be the wide-body, track package and 5.5L FPC, which would seem more fitting for the track than the 6.2L.
