I was told yesterday by my local dealer their rep confirmed MY 2019 Shelby will be the GT350. They had a late allocation 2018 they supposedly ordered with convenience package, which is what I would prefer, but it ended up electronics package on the sticker generated. Not sure if Ford can just change that (if they ran out of seats) or if my dealer didn't understand the difference between the two.
Appears your dealer is full of crap on a few things... including how they order cars and what actually appears when they order a car lol

Don't understand the lol, is it in regards to GT500 debacle? Or is this information wildly wrong? To clarify, they were trying to get info knowing I was upset as they wanted to find out if I would be willing to wait for 2019 MY if Ford was still making them.

Not sure I can wait that long...
Yes it is in regards to the "GT500 debacle" The GT350 forum is full of examples of dealer's and rep's providing incomplete, inaccurate and incorrect information.

Note that the 2018 model year was announced in Dec 2016 and dealers had to sign up for the the 2018 GT350 program by end of Feb 2018.

Note that the 2018 GT350 model production ends in June this year. Much earlier than the October end for the 2017 models. So if there is a 2019 GT350 model year, Ford is way behind in their milestone dates compared to last year.

I wasn't ready to give deposit, so couldn't control what they ordered nor did I ask for the build printout. I was told convenience package and told them to call me when it shows up. I can't complain about it because I didn't put my $ up.

In their defense, this isn't a common. They usually know what they're doing.

I guess I used the word "upset" in the one post. Should have used "disappointed." Like I said, I'm not allowed to be upset if I didn't put my $ down.

From the GT500 threads attached below. If production of 2018 ends in June, wouldn't this align to messaging a MY19 until GT500 is ready? This also aligns to Ford's announcement of GT500 being available in 2019. I'm not into spreading rumors, just trying to put the pieces of the puzzle together. I'm either buying a GT350 or E92 M3 in the next month and hoping to pick the other up in couple years. So whether there is a MY19 or not I do care about. That means more new to choose from in next year plus, and more available on used market too. Manual E92 coupes with CF roof are getting harder to find.
