2018 strange finition

Do some have this at the two tops corner when you open the trunk. Ther is some sealer, it s soft. And you can see the thin paint layer. Ethen closed you can see it

I'm not sure if that is normal. I'm used to German cars so I'm seeing little things as well that look kind of off or not as polished as I'm used to.

But both the weld and the paint finish look poorly done. I'd take that in to the dealer.

I just took a look at mine and I have a clean weld and paint coverage there. However, the paint is a bit sloppy in that region. It's actually too thick with what look like paintbrush lines.

How does the left side look?

It s the left side , the right is. Exactly the same.
May be i can just shave this part ?

It s look like a kind of glue rhat is used to glue body panels and there was too
If someone can post a picture to compare

I've seen similar stuff on other makes/models of cars, although never visible with the doors/trunk closed. usually it's in similar locations, inside nooks and cranies.

My car looks a bit different back there but I think it is because you have a convertible. So I'm having a hard time orienting.

I think you could get Ford to clean that up though.

I'm also surprised by all the painted over bolts and rough spots I found back there too.

I guess it's not that serious but I'm surprised the European market they are going after can accept that lack of attention to detail. It reminds me a little of 1970's era manufacturing.

Yes sorry it s a convertible. My 2016 was also roughtly finished. But it s hidden and it s a ford
