2018 mustang rpm limit at 4500?

Early 2018 GT can rev to 7300 in neutral. Since then they made some change in the stock tune and the park/neutral limiter is set at 4500 rpm like mentioned in this post by [MENTION=9386]Reds197[/MENTION].
If that's true it is sad.

i though that was just a dodge thing hmmm...ive heard of the newer dodge cars not being able to rev past 4k rpm in parking/neutral. dodge do it so that you don't damage the engine when it doesn't have load. (sounds like bs to me but whatever)

i remember having an old acura that did this. wouldnt go past something like 4500 unless moving at least 5mph

So someone explain, why does anyone NEED to rev their vehicle to 7,500 RPM while in park or neutral?

In the last 4 years I have had 8 new cars. I don't usually rev them up but none of them would rev beyond 4500 rpm.I think it's a engine safety issue.
