Just thought of something. Since the GT350 is continuing without any cosmetic changes (as confirmed by Ford), what might that mean for refreshed tail lights? If the 2018 GT 350 has the same tail lights as 15-17, would they change up the other models?

Maybe 2018 MY cosmetic differences is limited to front fascia only?

You're gonna make me cry!
I know, mannn! Hoping that's not the case cause I'll have waited a full year at that point.

I'm in the UK mate. I have just ordered and have been told I'll get a build slot in 4 to 5 months which puts me right on the edge!! I really want a 2017 and no DI but if the '18 is a looker I could be persuaded??
Why don't you want the DI?

What if tomorrow the "normal" 2018 Mustang is unveiled and Tuesday's event is for a special edition like the Mach 1? Ford usually doesn't show the new model and the special edition at the same. At this point it could be anything.
I can't image we wont see the Mustang in Detroit, it's literally one of the few cars actually built in "Detroit"

I think well see it. And if not the Mach1 , maybe a Bullitt....

I'm surprised the 2018 Mustang has a possibility of not being shown at NAIAS 2017. It's not like it's an all new model. They really want to hold off until Chicago or New York for a refresh?

Where's the god damn bronco?!?!? I'd take one of those with a new 5.0 and the 10 speed auto
That's definitely not till 2020+ I am not sure if they had even started making all the upgrades for Michigan Assembly Plant.

This is my thinking. I've definitely tampered my expectations though just in case. I thought Ford would've revealed both the Mustang and F-150 tonight at midnight, not just the F-150 yesterday. I thought that might be to give the Mustang the spotlight itself though.

Seeing the F-150 upgrades does make me more excited for the Mustang though. We'll see soon enough though.

I think they have something up their sleeve for this week. I'm pretty sure the Ranger will be one of the new offers, but what is the other? I think the showed the F150 today to get it off the table. If they didnt have anything better than it, they would have held onto it for the week.

Keep a look out for the middle of the next week (the week starting the 16th). Little birdie says...

Well that would be better than waiting till Chicago but releasing it a week after the biggest American auto show of the year in their own backyard makes no sense to me.
