Our cars will look a little different, as MUS550 informs me that all export Mustangs get the spray on black undercoat treatment.
Can someone please put me out my misery and tell me what's in the black lunchbox between the mufflers??
(Bookface indicates that an unfortunate NSW owner is due a replacement engine after another one went in the past couple of days, but that's a story for another thread).
Since we're under here, I found a video detailing how the active exhaust works.
Ford have installed a modulating valve in one of the two tips exiting each muffler. These modulate depending on mode selected, load and throttle position. Of interest, in quiet mode the valves are fully closed much of the time and at first this seems odd until you realize that the second tip on that muffler is open and unrestricted. Very cool.
