My biggest question is did they finally revise the map lights?

RANT WARNING

They want to sell that 10 speed for all its worth. They went off and essentially made the 6 speed manual worthless performance wise. The 10 speed will obviously do laps around a car with two over drives and only four other gears.

BUT WAIT: Remember LSPI and Ecoboost blowing up? Yah, having sixth put me at 1100 rpm on thinterstate will be awesome the first time someone puts it on cruise control, comes to a hill, and blows up their motor trying to maintain speed with a gear that tall...

Well, I'm REALLY digging what they've done.

IMHO, it does make the car look more European...Jag and Aston influences here and there. But considering those companies make some seriously sexy cars...I'm not hating.

I can't wait to hear about ALL the mechanical changes...

I personally don't like cars with headlights too close to the edge. It makes the front look bulky.
Cars that have that look like previous gen Dodge Chargers for instance.
Narrower headlights give a more flared front fender look.
Too close to the edge how (not getting what you mean)? The updated lights here are almost identical in width, height, position, all they did was change the flare angle from backwards to forwards.

You have to snicker at the "I'll be keeping my '15-17 crowd" butt hurt is not a good look
Just because someone doesn't agree with you doesn't make them "butt-hurt". These have to be the most childish comments in this thread. I was actually hoping to trade in at the refresh to bump up to the premium model for Carplay so we all aren't waiting around for an excuse to bash this..

I'm just not digging the lower half of the front, maybe aftermarket parts will help remedy that. I'm still not sold on the lower hood/front end flowing with the back looking at it's profile.

A 2018 will probably lap a 17 stock for stock with all the new options

Wonder if those toggle switches carry over for premium? Thinking with "ground speed" being gone, the toggles might be gone as well.

Also I think what the autoblog guy said is spot on (yep I'm that troll cry lol).

It seems like the main design brief for the '18 Mustang, to a biased eye well-steeped in the '15 Mustang styling "controversy", is to banish the internet troll cry of "Fusion coupe!" once and for all. The nose drops precipitously – without a measuring tape and with a bad theoretical ruler, I'd say a couple of inches. Ford showed us a presentation with a split-in-half render, the new and old car side-by-side. The old car's nose looks terribly blocky and tall by comparison. In profile, it's definitely an improvement.

Looks like I'm doing the quad exhaust and mft to sync 3 swap on my 15 after all. No way am I trading in for this pile of crap.
