You must be joking, if you going to run that you might just ditch it and close the box as is. There not going to be any rocks flying thru your cold air duct lol only dust and maybe leaf. Not a brillant idea either way

Yes, i hear all the times that the stock 18 cold air is more than efficient, but you see so many with JLT/PMAS/STEEDA that it brings out the questionning i have. The oem paper element is restrictive you think ?
Again, search the threads you'll find all the threads you want on the subject.

You see alot of people with hideous wings and tape on scoops on their cars but it doesnt mean they are more effective.

Drop in filter and be done. Or boost it and be done.

Understood, but there is various different filters and who knows which is performing best ? Between K&N / AFE / Green / AEM

2018.
I dyno all the mods (is roadcourse car)

tune 96 oct. Palm beach dyno

The JLT +tune 96 oct gained 22whp VS oem 2018 (i can share the video if you want)

I just created a JLT cover.
Testing these days.
Preliminary results today are encouraging. Max temp raised 8F over the ambient temp at the crosslight.
And crusing is at 2-3F over.

Still is not completely sealed.
I'm thinking to do 3 test

1. JLT open
2. Jlt and cover
3. JLT cover and gaps sealed

For roadcourse purpose You don't need a cover ( cause you move always)

For daily might be good.
Little more 'sound' coming from the CAI.

Hope thid helps
