Hello people,

I am thinking on pulling the trigger on a 2018 Mustang GT. I have done quiet a bit of research on Mustangs and keep coming across drive shaft vibration issues. I have read many of the post on this topic including the big one in this forum. It sounds to me there is no real fix for it. It's a crap shoot. You either get a good one or a bad one. I read somewhere that the 2018 comes with a new/updated drive shaft. Can anybody confirm this and the more important question, should I go ahead with the purchase?

THX :)

I guess if you found some shots of the 2018 mustang they had up on its side at the Woodward dream cruise, you might be able to tell if the driveshaft is new. I looked at it while i was there and don't remember seeing anything different about the driveshaft, but I wasn't particularly looking for that (never had any vibrations with my car).

No one really knows if the driveshaft and AC condenser issues will be fixed with the 18's. Besides those known issues from the 15-17's, the updated Coyote engine may have some issues with direct injection but no one really knows until it comes out. Your call really.

Until they come to the lots and people drive them we won't know. I'd say wait until they are on the lots and test drive 5 or so. And see if you feel a vibration. Or just see if anyone on here complains about it. I'm hoping to get mine in November/December. I'll let you know if I feel a vibration or not. :)
