2015 Mustang GT with the Performance Pack and 6 speed manual. Has an Injen Cold Air Intake and Thermal R&D Exhaust. Best 1/4 mile to date was a 12.6 @ 108mph with a 1.88 60ft and 3200 DA. At times the car trapped near 112mph. Today I tested a 2018 Intake that I hand ported with a Steeda custom tune. I thought I would pick up 2 mph. The car ran a 12.3 @ 116mph on a cheap all season radial while spinning in 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Yeah, it picked up 4 mph on the top end. DA was around 2800ft and my 60ft was 1.95 which was slower than my 12.6 run before changing the intake. Steeda kept the CMCVs active at my request and the car runs perfectly. I actually trapped higher than a car with the same build and an E85 Lund Tune who raced alongside me. Only difference was he had drag radials and was cutting a 1.7 60ft. Matt at Steeda did me right with his tune. If you have a 2015-2017 Mustang and want to put the 2018 intake on it hit them up.

2015 Mustang GT with the Performance Pack and 6 speed manual. Has an Injen Cold Air Intake and Thermal R&D Exhaust along with a Steeda Stop the Hop Kit. Best 1/4 mile to date was a 12.6 @ 108mph. At times the car trapped near 112mph. The Stop the Hop kit is great, but it actually made the wheel hop more violent with street tires. And no, nothing is broken or misaligned. The entire rear suspension is spherical bearings now which means the car handles like a junior race car, but I've talked and researched and it seems I really need a full blown drag tire/radial around 28" tall on a 17" rim. That will be next. Today I got to finally put to the test a 2018 Intake that I hand ported with a Steeda custom tune and I was more than satisfied. I thought I would pick up 2 mph. With a new Spec 2+ clutch at Great Lakes Dragaway the car ran a 12.3 @ 116mph on a cheap all season radial. Yeah, it picked up 4 mph on the top end. I'm guessing because I can rev the motor 800 rpm higher in each gear. Density Altitude was around 2800ft and my 60ft was 1.95 which was slower than my 12.6 run before changing the intake. Did you use the stock throttle body? They have two on their website...which part number did you use?

I used my stock throttle body. If I was going to upgrade I'd use the 87mm GT350 throttle body. A lot of people claim tuners have trouble with it, but I say find the guys who can tune it because they likely know what they are doing.

Sounds good. I have a Steeda tune with my CAI but I might take the car to the Pompano shop and have them dyno tune the car to get every extra pony rather than the standard tune.
