Anyone knows if a dealer can install one? or If there is a way to install one?

I was looking at accessories.ford.com for remote start I only see the fobs I don't know if it will work for my 18 ecoboost.

Thanks.

I've got a 2018 base EB with the 10R80. I got it with the 101A package to get remote start. Actually, I got it with the 101A rather than getting a premium is because the 101A had the options I wanted and the premium had a bunch of stuff I didn't want for a lot more $$$.

Yeah, we have a key on order. I need to order the BT adapter, so I can start getting FORScan setup as well.
Are you able to enable remote start?
I’m planning to do the same for my 19 mustang but I don’t know the process of getting new key (with the start button) from the dealer. It’s would be helpful if you can give a summary of what you did

Thanks!

I was never able to get this working. Different frequency for the transmitter and the key. I couldn't even get the power locks to respond; although, it did allow the car to start when placed in the cupholder slot.

I just didn't have the money to start buying random parts and tearing things down. I still believe it is possible, but it's going to take someone with more time and money than I've got at the moment. Sorry to disappoint.

I THINK there is an option to install remote start by the dealer, but you’ll have to use a separate fob. Check Ford’s accessories page

Have you tried downloading and setting up fordpass? Then connecting it to your car and using the app to remote start? To see if it can or works. Also have you just called ford with the vin and asked them if it has it? cause they sell a ford OEM part to add remote start to a 2018 mustang. Seems odd they would sell a part to add it if like others said they all come with it.
Not all of them do if you get just a base 100 they dont have it for some reason 18-19 ford decided we didnt need it but it's coming back 2020. The fordpass doesn't work with the part cause it doesnt provide network. You do need forscan to enable it or have a dealer install it but from what I've read on the f150 forums it's cheaper to do it yourself unless you dont have a laptop with windows

So that part you linked too does not have to be dealer programed like the link says? How did you get a fob and it to communicate on the correct frequency? your kind making it sound plug and play is it that easy? just asking IM curious as well.
For the most part it is just plug and play besides nneding to go into forscan and enable remote start in the bdycm and Ipc. Just make sure you plug in everything correctly theres a tiny black wire jumper it comes with that you need to plug in that I missed the first time than after looking through the f150 forums found out I needed it.(good thing i didnt throw the left overs away lol) you can use your factory key just press lock-unlock-lock and it starts right up and repeat if you want to turn it off.
