While I agree this is very likely a carryover of the GT350, I'm noting two things.

1) The word "Shelby" was editorialized and the ordering system menus shown don't actually say Shelby anywhere.

2) The option code P8J was also shared with the GT500. It's simply the code for "baddest ass Mustang". Similar with codes 99Z (engine) and 44E (trans).

However, the rapid spec codes are different between the GT500 and GT350, and these are getting carried over.
Some think the future cars might not be "Shelby" as they've been slowly eliminating the Shelby name from the car. My wild-ass-guess is that it will just be a GT350/GT500 or something and ditch the Shelby name.

This gray has me intrigued.
I agree - very interested....but I doubt I'll be buying another one of these monsters anytime soon... If they offer a GT in that color....

Just can't get enuff!
I think, and I have been saying this since early this year, there will be a MY2018 GT350 for its last production run.

Just too many telltale hints to point this way.... like it or not, don't be surprised. I'm not if it happens.

Is that tire size in there? 315/30 and 305/30.
Yes those are the GT350-R's tire sizes (rear and front). Option 920A is for the R.

Hm, I just noticed that those are all GT350R standard options... but do you see what else is in that same column? 19" Painted Aluminum Wheels. Ditching the CF wheels perhaps?

The GT350 will continue production until model year 2020...

Not sure why this is still a topic worth debate...

I hope not... but that's very interesting.

Top dog mustang always had 920A options in the past. Could be a gt500. With the aluminum wheels, I'd almost bet the shop on it. Im thinking thr FPC is gone for 2018. In recent past Ford has done 2 year motor runs. I don't think the small issues with filters that vibrate off or OPGs that shatter etc will keep them interested in going another year with it. It's fine by me cause if the CPC 5.2 produces anywhere close to the crate specs, I'll want one of those for sure.

I agree. They first have to provide a fix for every oil cooler so that the remaining 2017s can be sold. If they were ever considering a 2018, I have to assume the recall put a stop to it. Only time will tell.

That's actually not true about the rapid spec numbers. GT500 was 820A/821A.

Building with a different oil pump gear would be an easy change. The filter... I'd say it surprises me that Ford can't engineer a way to keep them on, but it doesn't. It really doesn't.

That was a mind slipper, I have a window sticker right here in my tool box.
I suppose they could still call a GT500 920A
As far as those parts being able to easily change out, yes I agree so I'm wondering why would they keep putting in gears that aren't performance oriented? The car with the FPC probably hasn't seen all the problems that will arise in a warranty period. This may be the tip of the iceberg. Like I said before Ford is mighty brave to keep this car for yet another additional 6000 units to cover. It's their money and their decision. If it was my business, I'd say NO WAY, let's kill it now. The CPC is plenty of power and I bet it doesn't vibrate itself to death

What about this opt "31P Roush Indust"? Anyone know what that is?
The code to drop-ship to Roush for them to modify. All Mustangs have it available.

I just find it odd that it takes them so long to just say it will carry over
This is just a wild guess, but perhaps they are waiting to announce the end of GT350 production to avoid insane dealer mark-ups once they confirm that there will be no more. Or they could be waiting to unveil the GT500 before they announce that they are killing off the 350. That way there would be a replacement to fill the top tier mustang spot before removing the 350 from it....again, just wild speculation on my part.
