Maybe one day our Mustangs will all meet, if I drive down sometime on my annual fishing trip. My bother, dad (sadly will only be fishing in heaven now, passed away Thursday), and me have been taking a fishing trip every year for the last 3 years a bit south of you. We fish for reds and snook in the mangroves around pine island and Boca grande pass with a friend down there named Andy Black.

Interesting, did fordservice tell you that? I am 4th week of august but didn't have a specific build date yet.

No I had went into the dealership on Saturday to see if I could make changes to my order. The salesman had checked the tracking and showed me on the screen that the build date was changed to the 8th as of Friday the 22nd so it was definitely too late to make changes. I'll check with Fordservice and give them the VIN my dealer provided me with to see if they match up.

I'll also probably be able to see my window sticker by next Sunday since that'll be 1 week out if it's true.

He also told me that the 17's they got in took a little over a week to get here because they ship em by truck.

How do I know if my car was actually built? According to the sticker it was supposed to happen last Wednesday. My dealer has stopped giving me updates (yay Ford customer service, smh) and I can't seem to get the VIN to come up on the tracking site.

Agreed. I've been trying to use the tracking websites since the day I ordered and all I've gotten is it saying that my vehicle can't be found. However as you can see in my signature, my car is already in production and should be finished by the 27th, and delivered tentatively on August 8th. All of that information was given to me by FordService and my dealer. I must have a good dealer compared to some of you other guys. Mine has been emailing me with updates as soon as they get them. They have even agreed to call me before or when the truck arrives so I can hopefully watch it being unloaded, and are gonna let me peel the shipping protection stuff off of it, and let me be around when they do their delivery inspections. I specifically told them that if for whatever reason I can not be present during the delivery, I want the car promptly parked and left untouched until I am able to be there. They didn't seem to have any issue with that. I'm probably a huge pain in their asses haha.

Which reminds me, I posted the other day about getting our own checklist to remind those of us getting ours soon some things to go over ourselves, like body panel fitment and what not. No one commented on that though. Unless there is already a good checklist somewhere on this site that I haven't been able to find.

Hey Mind Over Reality,

The first site Ford Service recommends, but it doesn't work in all parts of the country. The second site several people have found their window stickers there.

How far out from FRAP are you? My dealership is only 3.5 hours across the border so I'm wondering if mine will be by truck as well.

I'm at just about 3.5 hours from FRAP to my dealer as well, it's Colony in Brampton. I'm sure most dealers in Southern Ontario would receive by truck. Best to do is call your salesperson and ask them. My guy had opened up the tracking for one of the '17s they had received recently to show me how long it took them from order to delivery and told me everything comes by truck.

They claim 2 days. I usually get a response same day.

I found out my car got completed today and I should have it by 8/14. Awesome news. Just in time for my Birthday. Happy Birthday to me!
